Press Advertising Design

This was a press advertising job I did for Libertine London. Babyliss wanted to relaunch themselves to the market as a premium brand, their main competitor being GHD and I was briefed to create a clean cut, high fashion brand feel.

After market researching, I found all high end brands currently employ a similar look and feel, utilising the same formula for their press ads. That being an image that generally fills the entire DPS or single page ad, leaving only a white border, and the logo on or under the image in black. I provided the client with options that followed the same formula but also options that were a bit more unique – employing colour, introducing interesting fonts and playing with different shapes and angles.
